Attention all K12 webmasters and web design teachers!
We would like to begin forming an organization to develop curriculum, standards, & professional development for K12 webmasters and teachers of Web Design. If you teach Web Design / Web Development or a similar subject in a K12 school, or you are a webmaster in a K12 school, please join us in starting up this new organization. Right now, it's only a seed of a thought, but with your help we can design and build an organization that would be a resource for webmasters and teachers of web design.
If you are interested, please contact Chris Winikka by email, or jump on this page and add your thoughts. Below are the main goals I would like to see:
- Create a repository of lesson plan ideas
- Create a list of online resources, tutorials, etc.
- Develop suggested curriculum standards that are timely with current technological standards
- Network with other teachers and web designers
- Provide dedicated professional development courses (through Techstart.org)
